Atlantic was founded in 1980 by Pete Vrettakos as Atlantic Rigging Corporation providing scaffolding for government and other high profile jobs in Washington, DC/Baltimore and soon expanded to the mid-Atlantic region and beyond. In 1990, the name was changed to Atlantic Scaffolding Company and we began to focus on the industrial services market. After experiencing dynamic growth and in response to our customers’ needs, Atlantic acquired Insulco and subsequently offered bundled services to include insulation, surface protection and select environmental services. Under the parent company, Atlantic Industrial, the business continued to expand in services as well as geographical location. In late 2007, Atlantic acquired North Atlantic Scaffolding Company (NASCO), based in Portland, Maine.
In May 2008, Atlantic was acquired by The Brock Group. Dedicated to Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Financial Performance, and Personnel Development, Atlantic continues to be a leader in the industrial services market.
